The Islamic Resistance indicated in a statement on Tuesday, that the enemy drone that had recently crashed in the southern suburb of Beirut contained 5.5 kg of explosives and that its purpose was to conduct a bombing attack.

"After experts of the Islamic Resistance dismantled the first Israeli drone that crashed in the southern suburb of Beirut, it was found that it contained a sealed and technically isolated explosive device of around 5.5 kg," the statement read.

"We confirm that the purpose of the first drone was not reconnaissance, but the perpetration of a bombing attack," it said.

"Therefore, we confirm that the southern suburbs' region of Beirut was targeted last Saturday night by two booby-trapped drones, and that one drone broke down while the second exploded," the statement underlined.
