President Michel Aoun wrapped up his two-week stay at the Beiteddine Palace on Thursday, and will return to Baabda Palace.
Winding up his stay at the Beiteddine palace, President Aoun met with a large popular delegation of the Chouf district, comprising locals and Free Patriotic Movement partisans and supporters.
Aoun assured the delegation that what had been in the Chouf area during the war was a "historic mistake," pledging that such unfortunate incidents have ended forever.
The head of state also pointed out that the recent regrettable Qabrshmoun incident has given a lesson to all about the need to avoid the recurrence of similar incidents.
Aoun also pledged to continue work for the sake of achieving development in the Chouf area.
