Marada Movement leader, Sleiman Frangieh, met Thursday at his Bnachii residence with Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Nazih al-Naggari, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
"I paid a farewell visit to Sleiman Frangieh, who is a key Christian leader in the region and in Lebanon," the Ambassador told reporters following the meetings.
"We have vital and historic ties with the Frangieh family in Lebanon," he said.
"We discussed the political situation in Lebanon and the region, in addition to Egypt's role in the next stage," he added, stressing that his country will have a significant role in Lebanon.
"We always consult with Mr. Frangieh as he plays a crucial role on the Lebanese scene," he said.
"We wish him success in the upcoming stage as he contributes to Lebanon's stability and interest through his participation in the government and the political life," he underlined.
