A video has circulated on social media showing the removal of a statue of Bassel al-Assad, the late brother of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, from the city of Aleppo, which has been largely controlled by opposition factions led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
In the attached video, you can see how the fighters removed and shattered the statue, accompanied by heavy gunfire and chants of takbir.
