Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel faces a choice between two security approaches: an offensive strategy based on initiative and decisive action, and a political approach centered on containment and restraint, according to Russia Today.
In a post on X, Katz claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and the Likud party had strengthened Israel’s security to an unprecedented degree.
We struck Iran twice and eliminated existential threats, Katz said, adding that Israel had expanded its security boundaries in Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip to protect Israeli communities.
He also cited measures to reinforce Israel’s eastern border and the Jordan Valley.
Katz claimed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israel’s adversaries were concerned about its growing strength and determination.
He urged Israeli voters to support the government’s security approach and vote for Likud, saying continued political backing was necessary to complete its objectives.
