Gold Slips as the Dollar Rises
Gold prices fell as the dollar strengthened, while investors assessed monetary policy signals from the Federal Reserve and its chair, Kevin Warsh, after the US central bank kept interest rates unchanged. They also awaited US inflation data due later, Reuters reported.

As of 0044 GMT, spot gold fell 0.7% to $4,039.26 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery held steady at $4,051.

The dollar remained strong, making dollar-priced gold more expensive for holders of other currencies.
