Saudi Arabia ready to obtain Pakistani nukes
Saudi Arabia is ready to quickly obtain nuclear weapons from Pakistan after years of investing in the Muslim country’s atomic program, BBC’s Newsnight program reported early Thursday.

BBC cited a senior NATO official as saying that intelligence reports indicate that “nuclear weapons made in Pakistan on behalf of Saudi Arabia are now sitting ready for delivery.”

Meanwhile, Gary Samore-the Barack Obama administration’s former coordinator of Weapons of Mass Destruction-told the British program that Riyadh believes it has an agreement to receive Pakistani nuclear weapons.

“I do think that the Saudis believe they have some understanding with Pakistan that, in extremis, they would have claim to acquire nuclear weapons from Pakistan.”

BBC’s Newsnight also pointed to comments made by former Israeli military intelligence chief Amos Yadlin, who warned last month that Saudi Arabia will obtain a Pakistani nuclear weapon if Iran ever developed one.
