Sheikh Akl of the Druze community, Sheikh Naim Hassan, denounced "the heinous crime that took the lives of nine individuals in the town of Baakline," stressing in a statement the need to "place the matter into the hands of the judiciary and the security services tasked to unveil the circumstances of the incident and achieve justice."

Hassan relayed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
