Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Al-Boukhari on Thursday began his visit to the northern city of Tripoli by meeting Acting Mufti of Tripoli and the North, Sheikh Mohammad Imam, in his office at Dar Al-Fatwa, in presence of Head of Tripoli Endowments Department Sheikh Bassam Bustani.
Mufti Imam welcomed the KSA Ambassador, stressing that his visit constitutes a window of hope for Tripoli and all the Lebanese.
For his part, Ambassador Bukhari underlined "the depth of the relationship with Lebanon and its citizens."
Ambassador Bukhari also visited the Archbishop of the Maronite Archdiocese of Tripoli, Bishop Youssef Soueif, at the Archdiocese in Tripoli.
The visit had been an occasion to exchange greetings on the Easter occasion and the holy month of Ramadan.
During the meeting, the pair discussed the historical relationship that binds Lebanon with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the humanitarian relations among the various cultures, religions and civilizations.
Discussions also touched on the current status of the city of Tripoli.
The KSA Ambassador then visited Mufti Sheikh Malek Shaar in Tripoli.
Bukhari winded up his northern tour by meeting the Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Tripoli, al-Koura and Dependencies, Metropolitan Ephraim Kyriakos, at the Archdiocese in Tripoli.
