Caretaker Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi, on Friday welcomed Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Wardieh Holdings Inc. and Byblos Advanced Energy, Engineer Elie Bassil, who visited him with an accompanying delegation. 

The meeting reportedly broached the continuous theft of power cables and electrical equipment in Byblos, and their exorbitant cost. 

Consequently, the meeting mainly focused on the means to mitigate thefts by developing a security plan to protect the region’s electricity infrastructure.
