The National Liberal Party welcomed, in a statement on Saturday, "the initiative launched by the Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, to invite Christian deputies to a spiritual retreat and prayer to address the issue of the presidential elections," affirming its acceptance of the invitation.
 
It is to note that during his recent visit to Bkerke, the NLP Chief, former MP Dori Chamoun, called on the Patriarch to invite the Christian deputies, especially the Maronites, to Bkerke to push them to assume their responsibilities.
