Rahi Asks Australian Officials to Help Lebanon

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi thanked “the Australian government and its people for welcoming my people from the land of Cedars, as they developed their human capabilities and became bearers of the human cause,” addressing the Australian officials by saying: “I turn to Australian officials to help Lebanon, which is a land of ​​freedom and dialogue among civilizations in the unstable Middle East region, and we want them to support Lebanon in international forums."

And Rahi wondered: “Why is the international community punishing Lebanon? Is it because it opened its doors to displaced Syrians? The international community is required to provide aid to the displaced in Syria, not in Lebanon.”
