Caretaker Minister of Information Ziad Makary welcomed President of the Northern Lebanon Traders' Association Asaad Hariri, who commended the minister's efforts in safeguarding freedom of speech during his tenure.  

In a statement, Hariri praised Makary’s pioneering steps in modernizing Télé Liban, particularly the launch of a French-language news bulletin. 

Hariri described this initiative as a significant leap forward, promoting cultural diversity and fostering media openness.
