Lebanon’s First Lady Neemat Aoun stressed that "Lebanese women have a major role in Lebanese society, and all conditions must be  secured to enable them to play this role in various fields."

Aoun also stressed the "importance of working to guarantee women's rights and enhance their active participation in all domains.”

Mrs. Aoun's words came during her meeting this morning at Baabda Palace with a women delegation representing 19 non-governmental organizations concerned with women's rights, including activists in this field.
