The Lebanese Army – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
"On 19/3/2025, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence arrested citizens (A.R.), (F.H.), (Sh.Sh.), (N.H.), and Syrian national (A.K.) in the town of Qmatiyeh – Aley for opening fire during a funeral on 17 and 18/3/2025. A quantity of weapons and ammunition was seized in their possession.
The confiscated items were handed over, and investigations have begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
