“My warmest congratulations to Energy Minister Joe Saddi, who, in less than two months, completed all the procedures for appointing the Electricity Regulatory Authority after a delay of 23 years, and after deliberate obstruction and refusal to appoint this authority by all those who have held this ministry since the issuance of Electricity Regulatory Law 462/2002, which has kept the electricity sector a farm for them, their favoritism and their interests, at the expense of the Lebanese citizen who has suffered throughout this period of darkness and gloom.”
