President Joseph Aoun condemned the attack on the State of Qatar this evening, considering it a violation of the sovereignty of a brotherly country and a step that would increase tensions in the region and expand the scope of military confrontations. 

He also noted its negative impact on ongoing efforts to halt the escalation and return to the negotiation table, which alone can find appropriate solutions to restore calm and stability to the region.

President Aoun viewed the brotherly State of Qatar, which has always played a positive role in resolving the conflicts the region has witnessed over past years and continues to do so, as receiving from Lebanon both its president and its people full solidarity and support in preserving its sovereignty, the safety of its territory, and its brotherly people.
