Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced on X that he welcomes the World Bank Board of Directors’ approval of the Lebanon Emergency and Resilience Project (LEAP), valued at $250 million.
Salam described the initiative as “a key step in reconstruction by addressing damage to vital infrastructure and essential services in areas affected by the war.”
The PM added that this support “bolsters recovery efforts within a state-led implementation framework and opens the door to much-needed additional financing.”
