Hezbollah and Amal ministers walked out of the Cabinet session, followed later by the fifth Shia minister Fadi Makkied out.
According to MTV, the ministers of the shiite duo had proposed postponing any decision on the weapons issue until the army presents its plan before August 31, but this request was rejected.
For his part, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam suggested beginning with a discussion of the objectives on the first page of Tom Barrack’s paper and continuing the review of its items in later sessions, but the Amal and Hezbollah ministers rejected the proposal.
