The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pointed out that “the Lebanese cabinet’s decision to work on disarming Hezbollah by the end of 2025 is of great importance.”
Netanyahu’s office added: “We are ready to support Lebanon in disarming Hezbollah, and the time has come to act in a spirit of cooperation to achieve this goal.”
It also emphasized that “if the Lebanese army takes steps to disarm Hezbollah, Israel will take measures in response, including a gradual withdrawal of its military presence in Lebanon.”
