A delegation from the Strong Lebanon bloc, headed by MP Gebran Bassil, visited Army Commander General Rodolph Haykal, at the Army Command Headquarters in Yarzeh.

The delegation expressed its support for any plan put forward by the army, affirming the bloc's "support for the military leadership in its efforts to consolidate state sovereignty and extend its authority across all Lebanese territory."

During the meeting, the bloc affirmed, according to a statement, "its full support for the military institution and its leadership during this critical phase that Lebanon is going through, and the tasks it requires to maintain security, stability, and protect Lebanon."
