The Lebanese Army – Orientation Directorate issued the following statement:
“Media outlets have been reporting on the army’s position regarding the missions currently undertaken by the military institution. The Army Command affirms that it carries out its duties with the highest levels of responsibility, professionalism, and care for the security and internal stability of the country, in accordance with the decisions of the political authority, and with a commitment to fulfilling its duty regardless of the difficulties.
The national duty that the army is honored to perform is a firm commitment that will not be abandoned. Soldiers of all ranks have made significant sacrifices in this context throughout different periods, especially as the Israeli enemy continues its attacks on our country.
The Army Command urges media outlets not to address the affairs of the military institution or speculate about its decisions, and to refer instead to its official statements for accurate information.”
