President of the Republic Joseph Aoun welcomed Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar at Baabda Palace.

Following the meeting, Minister Hajjar said he briefed the President on recent anti-smuggling operations. 

He noted that President Aoun commended the significant efforts of the Judicial Police and the Anti-Narcotics Bureau, highlighting their achievements in seizing large quantities of drugs and contraband.

Moreover, Hajjar stressed that cooperation remains full and ongoing with Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as well as with other friendly nations in the fight against narcotics and illicit substances.
