Salam leads a series of meetings
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received at the Grand Serail UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, with whom he discussed the current political situation and latest developments in southern Lebanon.

Premier Salam also received a delegation from the Jamaa Islamiya, which included MP Imad al-Hout, Head of ’’Jamaa Islamiya’’ Political Bureau, Ali Abou Yassin, and Wael Najm.

After the meeting, Abou Yassin said: "We were honored to meet with Premier Salam today, and we discussed important national issues, especially in light of the current exceptional and sensitive situation our country is passing through."

Abou Yassin added: "We presented to the Prime Minister the Jamaa Islamiya Group's vision and its political program, finalized last April, entitled 'A Vision for the Nation: A Reform and Development Project.' This program covers all aspects of political, economic, social, judicial, and administrative affairs, as well as national security strategy.  We had a discussion about some of its key points and components."

Separately, The Prime Minister met with Waseem Ammash, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RAMCO Company Walid Bousaid, Company's General Manager, and Rabih Ammash, Company’s Deputy General Manager. The meeting reportedly discussed ways to address the waste management problem in the capital city of Beirut.
