A patrol from the General Directorate of Customs – Sidon Unit raided the “Al Awfar” shops located in the Aaqbiyeh area. Upon inspection, a large quantity of expired food products was found, along with spoiled and unsafe cheeses and dairy products that did not meet basic food safety standards, in addition to a seizure of smuggled and counterfeit tobacco and molasses.

Following the directive of the Public Prosecutor of the South, Judge Sarmad Sidawi, the shop and its warehouse were sealed with customs lead seals in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Economy, and the owner was detained for legal proceedings.
