Prime Minister Nawaf Salam arrived a short while ago at the Turkish Emergency Hospital in Sidon, at the start of his visit to the city of Sidon, where he was received by MPs Osama Saad, Abdul Rahman Bizri, and Charbel Massaad, as well as former MP Bahia Hariri, Mayor of Sidon Municipality, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of the "Jamaa Islamiya" Dr. Bassam Hammoud, and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Emergency Hospital in the city of Mona Teryaki.

This took place in the presence of official, political and security dignitaries, representatives of economic, social and health bodies, and heads of civil society organizations.

Premier Salam's Sidon tour includes visits respectively to: Sidon Port, the solid waste treatment plant in Siniq, the sewage treatment plant, and Sidon Governmental Hospital. Salam will next meet with the Governor of the South, Mansour Daou, at the Sidon's Serail.

Afterwards, Premier Salam is scheduled to head to Sidon Municipality, where a reception will be held in his honor, with the participation of MPs and dignitaries of the city, including a speech by Premier Salam and the mayor.

The visit will conclude with a luncheon banquet hosted in his honor by the Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association in Sidon, at the courtyard of Al-Makassed Secondary School in the city, in the presence of the city's MPs and dignitaries.
