President of the Republic Joseph Aoun, accompanied by First Lady Neemat Aoun, departed Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport this morning en route to Rome to participate in the solemn mass scheduled for tomorrow at the Vatican, where Blessed Bishop Ignatius Maloyan will be officially declared a saint.
The canonization mass will be presided over by Pope Leo I, with Armenian Catholic Patriarch Raphael Bedros XXI Minassian concelebrating.
