President of the Republic Joseph Aoun welcomed former Minister Michel Pharaon, who invited him to take part in a consultative meeting aimed at preparing for a forthcoming conference tied to the release of the second volume of “The Neutrality of Lebanon and the Lebanese: Closing the Arena and the Arenas.”
The event, Pharaon explained, will be organized in collaboration with Austria, and will feature Lebanese experts and academics discussing Lebanon’s neutrality in policy, culture, memory, and education.
Later, MP Walid Baarini met with President Aoun, voicing support for the President’s stance on negotiations and the exclusive possession of arms by the state, noting that his prudent handling of both issues “spares Lebanon any internal confrontation.”
