Free Patriotic Movement leader, MP Gebran Bassil, paid tribute to the late resistance figure Danny Chamoun on the anniversary of his assassination, writing on X platform: 

“Betrayed in his home after the guns fell silent, Danny Chamoun, the fighter, was assassinated. Betraying people in their homes is the mark of those who kill without ever fighting. Danny confronted the mentality of elimination and died free, just as he lived free.”
