President of the Republic Joseph Aoun affirmed that Lebanon’s youth “are the ones shaping the country’s future, guided by its interests rather than their own,” urging them to “prove to the world that Lebanon has entered a new path of development and progress.”
Addressing a delegation of youth and student organizations who visited Baabda Palace to present the recommendations of their recent national conference, Aoun called on young people “to prioritize Lebanon’s interest in all political and civic work” and to “promote a culture of citizenship and national belonging within their communities, families, and universities.”
The President further stressed that political diversity among youth organizations “is proof of Lebanon’s democratic vitality,” but cautioned that differences must remain “within the bounds of national interest.”
Aoun also urged a collective departure from the divisions that weakened the country, reminding that “Lebanon once had one of the strongest economies and currencies in the world, and it is up to us to learn from past mistakes.”
The President also met with Industry Minister Joe Issa Khoury, former MPs Eli Marouni, Tony Bou Khater, and Assem Araji, as well as officials from the Lebanese Volleyball Federation, congratulating Lebanon’s women’s team for winning the West Asian Championship in Jordan, describing their victory as “a proud reflection of Lebanon’s resilience and excellence.”
