Israeli drones have been constantly hovering over Beirut and Dahiyeh lately. The sheer number of drones and their low-altitude flights have residents wondering: Is a military operation in the works?

Security analysts have said that the drones are not conducting surveillance in the traditional sense. Instead, they appear to be building a target database; mapping buildings, parking areas, and even electronic signals.
