Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar affirmed that Lebanon’s participation in the Manama Dialogue hosted by Bahrain “marks a key opportunity to highlight Lebanon’s active regional role and commitment to Arab cooperation, particularly with the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

Hajjar emphasized the “deep-rooted ties between Lebanon and Bahrain,” noting that bilateral relations have gained new momentum following President Joseph Aoun’s recent visit to Manama and the appointment of Bahrain’s new ambassador to Beirut.

The Minister explained that Lebanon seeks to reaffirm its partnership in regional security and stability, while expanding cooperation in the security and economic fields. Hajjar, who begins an official visit to Bahrain at the invitation of Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, said discussions will focus on “joint security coordination and shared challenges.”

Hajjar then stressed Lebanon’s “commitment to reforms, restoring state authority, and upholding national unity,” adding that the country continues to rely on Arab and international support to overcome its crises.

“Lebanon remains a steadfast partner in regional stability,” Hajjar concluded, “and the Manama Dialogue is an opportunity to reaffirm our Arab identity and strengthen cooperation for a safer, more prosperous region.”
