Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met at the Grand Serail a US delegation from the Department of the Treasury and the National Security Council at the White House, headed by Dr. Sebastian Gorka.
During the meeting, Salam reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing reforms, rebuilding state institutions, and consolidating national sovereignty across Lebanese territory.
Discussions reviewed progress in border control and the regulation of the movement of people and goods, as well as the government’s efforts to combat money laundering by strengthening transparency and enforcing financial oversight laws in line with international standards.
Talks also covered the deployment of the Lebanese Army in the south and other regionsin support of stability and state authority, in addition to reinforcing government control over maritime and air ports.
