Watch: Heavy Shelling Reported on Southern Areas
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that “the Israeli military carried out an airstrike this morning on a Hezbollah weapons depot and underground infrastructure in southern Lebanon, based on precise intelligence information.”

In a post on X, Adraee said the targeted infrastructure “was located near residential areas,” describing this as further proof that Hezbollah “uses civilians as human shields for its military operations within civilian facilities.”

He added that Israeli fighter jets later launched additional strikes on other sites that he said belonged to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, noting that “the Israeli army will continue to act to eliminate any threat and protect the State of Israel.”

Adraee stated that “Hezbollah continues its attempts to rebuild military facilities in various parts of Lebanon,” and said that “the presence of such infrastructure constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
