President of the Republic Joseph Aoun and Lebanon’s Army Commander, General Rodolph Haykal, visited the Benoit Barakat Barracks in Tyre, where they were received by the Commander of the South Litani Sector in the Lebanese Army, Brigadier General Nicolas Thabet.

Following an official welcome accompanied by military music, a meeting took place during which the security situation, Israeli attacks on the south, and the army's missions were discussed.

The President and the Army Commander arrived in Tyre aboard a helicopter, accompanied by two army helicopters that landed at the helicopter landing pad near the Tyre Tourist Rest House.
