The Lebanese Ministry of Interior issued a statement praising "the existing security cooperation with the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which led to thwarting an attempt to smuggle a quantity of drugs into Lebanon, within the framework of the strategy developed by the Ministry to combat drugs."

The Ministry affirmed that "this operation confirms Lebanon's unwavering commitment to confronting all smuggling attempts, and its rejection of the use of its territory as a transit point or platform to harm its interests and relations with sister countries."

The statement concluded: "All appreciation for the professional efforts made by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces and its members, for their commitment, competence, and perseverance in carrying out delicate tasks, despite all the challenges."
