The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defense issued the following statement:
Civil Defense personnel worked to drain floodwater from the Ministry of Labor building after it had seeped into the second basement storage area and the elevator shaft due to heavy rainfall. Some of the water pumps were not working, so the teams got them running to help speed up the drainage.
In Burj al-Brajneh, Choueifat, and the Khaldeh tunnel, crews also worked to remove vehicles stranded on the roads after water levels rose, ensuring the safety of motorists.
