MTV learned that during the meeting between a delegation of UN Security Council representatives and Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi, the US envoy Morgan Ortagus asked Raggi whether he was willing to accept an invitation from the Iranian Foreign Minister to hold a meeting in Tehran.
Raggi responded as follows: "I also received the invitation through a written message addressed to the ministry, and I had expressed during a television interview a few days ago my willingness to meet with the Iranian Foreign Minister in any neutral country, and this is still what I am prepared to do. I am open to all countries except those that interfere in Lebanon’s affairs. Therefore, the current circumstances do not allow for this meeting to take place in Iran, and I will not accept the invitation. However, I am ready to communicate with him to arrange a meeting in another country."
