Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced that he thanked “the ambassadors of the Quintet Committee for their visit and for their continued support of the government’s reform path, particularly their commendation of the financial restructuring and deposit recovery bill that the government submitted to parliament.”

He added, following his meeting with the Quintet ambassadors: “I welcomed their support for the army’s completion of the first phase of the weapons consolidation plan south of the Litani, and I reaffirmed our firm determination to implement the second phase of the plan and the stages that follow.”
