Information Minister Paul Morcos read out the decisions of the Cabinet session held at the Grand Serail, noting that “the discussion focused on ways to increase spending and revenue from a developmental perspective, alongside issues related to public property and state-owned real estate.” He emphasized that “the reconstruction item is not being overlooked, and a session will soon be held to decide on it.”

He announced that “the Cabinet has decided to provide non-military retirees with a monthly grant of 12 million Lebanese pounds.”

Morcos pointed out that “strict measures were emphasized to prevent violations of the electricity network and to enforce collection, alongside factoring in environmental damage related to quarries, in addition to efforts to increase revenue from state-owned maritime properties after coordinating with the relevant ministries.”

He also mentioned “the issuance of implementing decrees for the cost-recovery law related to integrated solid waste management, allowing municipalities and the Treasury to cover the costs of collecting, transporting, and processing waste.”
