Education Minister Rima Karami addressed students, saying: “Your study time is never wasted, and we want to reach a formula that ensures your safety, but keep studying,” adding that “we will meet with the relevant officials at the Ministry of Defense to review the examination plan.”

She continued: “We are working under difficult circumstances, and people are on edge; however, up to this point, all the decisions we have taken at the Ministry of Education have been sound, and I will not make any new decision without careful consideration.”

She also noted that MPs highlighted the security situation, and that she promised to reconsider the examination plan in coordination with the relevant officials at the Ministry of Defense.
