A violent clash broke out in Armenia’s parliament in the capital, Yerevan, with lawmakers from the ruling party and the opposition exchanged punches and kicks and hurled chairs at one another.

The altercation began after an opposition politician accused the parliamentary speaker of corruption and embezzling public funds. The heated exchange quickly escalated into a physical fight, leaving at least two lawmakers injured.

Parliamentary security intervened to separate the feuding lawmakers, prompting the session to be suspended.
