Angry Kid Throws Grenade at his Father

Wonderland would be a gross understatement when describing what is happening in our land of impunity.

Here, whomever is privileged or immunized by the kingpins of our ruffian society says I; here is Lebanon.

Not too long ago, the streets of Lebanon played center stage to various individual crimes which can only be described as "a petty road towards a petty death.”

Here one was stabbed because he had tailed a car, another was shot on the spot because he refused to listen; and kindly do not forget about the kid who fell while playing… of the stray bullet that darted from a nearby street in celebration of a fresh martyred soldier, nor about the 7 bullets that stapped the man to ground in al-Furzul in a simple debate on how to water zucchini.

After knives, daggers and gunshot wounds, come the victims of rocket launchers.

If you think we’re bloughing, a simple Google search on Arsal outskirts’ clashes can illustrate the wide selection of weapons that were used in the battle for the cherry harvest.

An even sillier dispute can turn a household into a battlefield . You had better believe it because on Thursday night, a father and his son quarreled in Al-Faour town of Zahle, wounding two after Khaled B. (the son) decided to toss a hand grenade at his dad.

After bouncing over these past events, we feel as if rage has taken over the dwellers of this earth. Feeding on dementia, they’ve fastened their human choice to the survival of the fittest.

Here, no one cowers before the law; here we buy guns first, bread second.
