The Lebanese Film Director Ziad Doueiri denied in a statement giving any interview to the Israeli daily 'Yediot Aharonot' or any other Israeli newspaper, on Monday.

"I have called in more than one press interview to fight Islamic extremism and clean the Arab World, and I will continue to say this... However, I did not give any interview to Yediot Aharonot, nor to any other Israeli newspaper," Doueiri said in his statement.

Doueiri added that he has asked his media team in the United States to reject requests for interviews with Israeli media outlets.

He categorically denied giving any interview to any Israeli daily or newspaper during the screening of his "Case Number 23" Film in the United States in the run-up to the Oscars ceremony.
