The Sudanese Transitional Political Council has called on the United Nations to pressure the Rapid Support Forces to open humanitarian corridors to displacement camps around the city of Al-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, according to Russia Today.

Ibrahim Jaber, a member of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council and Assistant Commander of the Army, urged representatives of UN agencies and international missions based in Sudan to exert more pressure on the Rapid Support Forces to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to displacement camps around Al-Fasher.
