The Israeli army has released 80 Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip, with some of them arriving at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the central part of the strip.

Reports circulating in the media indicated that most of those released are elderly, some of whom are unable to move and show signs of torture.

According to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, more than 2,000 detainees from Gaza are being held in Sde Teiman, Anatot, Ofer detention camp, and the Negev prison.
