The Egyptian Red Crescent has released a video documenting the movement of humanitarian aid trucks heading toward the Gaza Strip.
Egypt had earlier announced that 161 trucks loaded with food, flour, and baby formula entered Gaza over the past two days through the Zikim crossing in the north and the Kerem Shalom crossing, according to Egyptian media citing a well-informed source.
The National Alliance for Civil Development Work, the developmental arm of the Egyptian government, confirmed that its institutions are ready to resume sending aid convoys to the people of Gaza as soon as border crossings return to normal operations. This comes as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting Palestinians amid the dire humanitarian situation they are facing.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) had previously stated that the already catastrophic conditions in Gaza are rapidly deteriorating, with a deadly hunger crisis worsening amid ongoing military operations bringing death and destruction.
