The British newspaper Daily Mail reported that a lip-reading expert revealed what US President Donald Trump said to Russian leader Vladimir Putin during their meeting at Anchorage Airport in Alaska.
According to the paper: “As the lip-reading expert told the Daily Mail, the first words they exchanged were Trump saying: ‘Finally.’ And as they shook hands, Trump added: ‘You made it, good to see you, I’m very grateful.’”
The expert also told the newspaper that during the warm greeting, the two presidents promised each other “help.” Later, as they walked up to the podium, Trump pointed out the importance of the handshake, saying it “leaves a good impression,” to which the Russian president responded by nodding and extending his hand to his American counterpart.
