Israelis have raised security concerns after a photo of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his hotel room in New York circulated.
Reserve Colonel Ronen Cohen of the Israeli army shared the image on X, writing: "This could have been another historic photo showing Netanyahu in discussions with his advisers at a New York hotel, just hours before traveling to sign the agreement at the White House last night. But this photo was taken by a resident in the building directly across from the hotel."
He added: "Without bulletproof windows, without reinforced curtains, not to mention an internal protected room with secure locking, the Prime Minister sat there day and night exposed to sniper fire and even medium-caliber weapons. This comes less than three weeks after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, in a country where attempts were previously made on Trump’s life, and amid intense incitement against the Prime Minister everywhere. I am very concerned."
