Watch: Climbers Trapped by Snow on Mount Everest
At least 350 tourists stranded on the Tibetan side (a region under Chinese administration) of Mount Everest have been rescued following a snowstorm, according to Chinese state media.

The report stated that rescue teams safely transported the group to the nearest settlement, Chodang. Earlier reports had indicated that nearly 1,000 people were trapped at an altitude of around 4,900 meters on the mountain's eastern side.

Their tents reportedly suffered partial damage due to the storm, and heavy snowfall blocked access routes. The exact number of people still stranded on Mount Everest remains unclear.

The state news platform Xinhua also reported injuries at the site, although there is no confirmed information regarding potential fatalities.
